This is a one of a kind math workshop. This exciting workshop will keep you enthralled from the first great activity to the last. Cathlene has been teaching math and presenting workshops for a very long time and she loves what she does.
The math strategies used adapt easily to all grade and skill levels and will motivate even the hard to reach students. In this entertaining workshop you will see how to incorporate fun into your math lessons using unique tricks and activities to teach all the basics of math and help to raise math test scores.
Cathlene will give you some creative mnemonics to help students to retain important information. Included in the Joy of Math resource books are topics such as, King Henry Mnemonic, Metric Relative Distance Chart, Lesson On PEMDAS, Helping Hands for Memory, Games, Games and More Games, Graphing Project, Math Analogies, and Literature Connections and Web Sites. • For those wanting graduate credit, Chapman University forms will be available at the workshop for 1 graduate non degree seeking credit per 5 hour workshop with an additional 15 hour practicum. About the TrainerCathlene Albrecht has been wooing audiences of teachers with her unique ideas, games and activities on the local, state and national level. She has been a middle school teacher for over 30 years.
Cathlene uses her sense of humor to promote her love of math. Creativity is her middle name! Her collection of activities will add spice to any middle level class and help to raise test scores.
