Description of the Workshop

Research validates the importance of movement exploration and why movement should be an integral part of all early childhood programs. Movement stimulates learning.

In this exciting and innovative workshop teachers participate in music and movement activities designed to teach children the prerequisites for learning- Self-Control, Focus, Concentration, and Effective Listening- those skills that have a positive influence on learning. In this high energy workshop, creative ideas and activities are learned in a hands-on approach that encourages children to develop and practice those skills.

• For those wanting graduate credit, Chapman University forms will be available at the workshop for 1 graduate non degree seeking credit per 5 hour workshop with an additional 15 hour practicum. Trainer About the Trainer

Jamie Goldring is an experienced teacher who has been working with children for 30 years. "One of the most important things we can do for our children is to prepare them for learning by teaching them how to learn." Her exciting and innovative workshops are creative, high-energy, and use a hands-on approach to teach important concepts and skills.

Jamie has also written a book on the importance of movement education that is filled with activities, stories, games, imagery, balances and exercise.
