In this math literature based, hands-on workshop Elaine has created activities and games that use math literature as a springboard. This is an excellent workshop for teaching and reinforcing basic skills and helping to raise test scores.
This workshop can be done on two levels Pre-K to 2 or grades 3 to 6 using grade appropriate literature and topics. Depending on the grade level activities, ideas, and games will deal with counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, time, money, geometry, and number sense. Elaine intends for the activities in this workshop to be an addition to what you are already doing in your math lessons.

About the TrainerElaine Haven has been presenting workshops since 1995 in reading/language arts, math, science, organization and brain based learning. She has taught all grades K-5 and is the training director at ETN.
In 1998 Elaine won the National Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics. She writes teacher activity books such as "100 Great Math Ideas," "100 Great Literacy Ideas", "Fantastic Math Activities" just to name a few. Elaine has presented over 350 workshops across the United States.
