Description of the Workshop

During this workshop Cindy will focus on practical ways to successfully implement guided reading in your classroom that will lead to increased reading achievement in your students. Cindy shares her ideas and strategies in a humorous way to make the day enjoyable as you learn about organizing, managing and scheduling small, flexible guided reading groups.

Cindy will also share ways to incorporate current based small group lessons, including the key components of an effective guided reading lesson. All of Cindy's ideas are practical and realistic strategies that have been proven to work with students in grades 1 to 3.
