Description of the Workshop

In this exciting literature based workshop Linda Spresser has an arsenal of fabulous activities that are sure to grab students' attention and hold it to the end of your math lesson. Linda's ideas and activities can add pizzazz to what you are already doing and make math fun for you and your students.

Young children need a variety of experiences working with math in different ways. Maximize your planning time with lessons that include creative ideas to hit the national math standards. Each set of activities will include a resource list of literature titles and websites where appropriate.

• For those wanting graduate credit, Chapman University forms will be available at the workshop for 1 graduate non degree seeking credit per 5 hour workshop with an additional 15 hour practicum. Trainer About the Trainer

Linda Spresser, a creative presenter, has been in the classroom for 31 years. She has also worked in a teacher resource center helping teachers create activities for the topics they teach. Her creative ideas for using literature and games to teach math concepts are motivating and easy to use and meet the needs of teachers and students alike.

Linda's presentations are lively, exciting and fun. You will leave the workshop with a wide variety of ideas and materials to take directly back to your classroom. Teachers love Linda's workshops.
