Description of the Workshop

What better way to grab students' interest in math than through these winning games that will lead your students to look at math as an adventure. Laura's games are totally appropriate and fun for students in Pre-K to second grade.

Play many of the games and bring them right back to your students to get them excited about learning. Create a strong foundation in math basic skills with these powerful games. These games are great for whole group, small group and centers and include such topics as: Dice Games for All Math Areas, Card Games, Ten Frame Games, Games with Dominoes, Game Boards and Mats, Tubbing Samples and Ideas, and Games to Practice Basic Skills.

Teachers at Laura's workshops get excited about her games since they use inexpensive, easy to get materials such as dice, playing cards, dominoes, and tens frames. These games are great for a home school connection to help students and parents practice skills in a fun way.

• For those wanting graduate credit, Chapman University forms will be available at the workshop for 1 graduate non degree seeking credit per 5 hour workshop with an additional 15 hour practicum. The registration fee is $179 per person.
Group Discount: For groups of 3 or more attending the same workshop from the same school, the registration fee is $169 per person.

Trainer About the Trainer

Laura Domalik is a fast paced, energizing presenter who has taught at a variety of early elementary grade levels and is now an educational consultant doing math workshops for ETN. Teachers love her presenting style and enjoy the variety of math games that take very little time to teach students. Her workshop would be a wonderful addition to your math lessons or classroom centers.

Laura has been a guest lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University. She won the Sally Mae First Year Teacher Award and the Julia Williams Grant for staff development. Her resource book is jam packed with so many games and activities that it would take 2 days to get to all of it. Her workshops are dynamic and everyone has fun.
