Description of the Workshop

This workshop includes ideas, activities and strategies for engaging students and fostering a love of math. Fill your instructional toolbox with the tools and techniques to meet the needs of a wide range of learners in the same classroom. You will learn ways to help your students learn math concepts, vocabulary, and master math facts on a whole new level.

In each of the grade level band workshops, Pre-K to 2 and 3 to 6, Elaine will share ideas for creative centers for any grade, math mini-lessons, and ways to raise test scores. She also has a host of games that will add another dimension to your math lessons.

Trainer About the Trainer

Elaine Haven, a teacher and writer of teacher activity books, has extensive experience in brain based learning. She presents workshops in math, reading, raising test scores, differentiating instruction and brain based learning.

In 1998 Elaine won the National Presidential Award for Excellence in Elementary Math and she has been a math lead teacher. Her workshops are hands-on and fast paced.
