Description of the Workshop

Use games to have students practice basic skills in math and reading/language arts. Elaine will have you making games throughout this hands-on make and take workshop that are colorful, fun to play and easy to store. Students will get immediate feedback as they play games for independent practice.

Teachers will leave this workshop with handmade game boards that can be used with skills that they have already taught for a spiral review for students. Stop the cycle of learning and forgetting.

Elaine's games are great for centers, after reading/language arts or math lessons, or for a home/school connection. Game directions along with variations are in the resource book teachers will get, so the games will work for all topics and grades K to 3, and are a great way to differentiate instruction. Also in the resource book is information about brain based learning.
