Description of the Workshop

Add creative activities to your math lessons to motivate students and reinforce skills. Use what we know about brain based learning and the multiple intelligences to improve math achievement and meet the state and national math standards.

Improve problem solving skills with ideas and strategies that we have learned from Singapore, and activities that can help all students build a stronger math foundation. Come and enjoy a fun day of gathering ideas and activities that you can use right away in your own classroom.

For those wanting graduate credit, Chapman University forms will be available at the workshop for 1 graduate non degree seeking credit per 5 hour workshop with an additional 15 hour practicum. The registration fee is $179 per person.
Group Discount: For groups of 3-4 attending the same workshop from the same school, the registration fee is $169 per person. For groups of 5 or more, the registration fee is $159 per person.

About the Trainer

Elaine Haven is the author of nine teacher activity books and literacy, creating games, critical thinking skills, and math. She has been presenting workshops of a variety of topics since 1995.

In 1998 Elaine won the National Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics. She has presented over 500 workshops across the United States on literacy, math, science, organization, and brain based learning.
