Description of the Workshop

There are many things parents can do at home to help their child succeed in school. Parents are a child’s first teacher and can motivate a child to work harder in school by modeling a positive attitude and taking a more active role in their education.

There is a make and take part of this workshop where parents will be able to make some games that can be used with math, science, reading/language arts, spelling, vocabulary, or social studies questions. Make a difference!

For those wanting graduate credit, Chapman University forms will be available at the workshop for 1 graduate non degree seeking credit per 5 hour workshop with an additional 15 hour practicum. About the Trainer

Elaine Haven has been presenting teacher workshops for over ten years and is now presenting workshops for parents to help their children succeed in school. She has written eleven teacher activity books to motivate students to learn by making it fun.

In Elaine's workshop you will get to make some of the games so you are ready to take them back home and use them right away with your children.
